trenchtown rock

I'M NOT BIG ON COLD WEATHER, BUT I DO LOVE A GOOD COAT TO HIDE MY COMFORT CLOTHES BELOW.
WHEN I WAS A MAGAZINE ASSISTANT RUNNING AROUND TOWN, I WOULD JUST WEAR THE RATTIEST CLOTHES - SWEATPANTS (AT LEAST THEY WERE A.P.C. SWEATPANTS!), T-SHIRT, SNEAKERS- AND THROW ON MY VERONIQUE BRANQUINHO CAPE, AND NO ONE WAS THE WISER.
AFTERALL, IT WAS ABOUT WHAT WAS ON THE OUTSIDE, NOT IN.
OR MAYBE THEY WERE TOO BUSY THINKING ABOUT THE WEIRD CAPE...

ANYWAY, A FEW SEASONS AGO, MY FRIEND AIMEE CHO STARTED AN INSPIRED TRENCH COAT LINE, CALLED
GRYPHON, THAT IS NOW THE REASON I CONTINUE TO OBEY WINTER.
IN ADDITION TO CLASSIC TRENCH STYLES, SHE MAKES OTHER GREAT BODIES IN REALLY SPECIAL FABRICS, AND NOW...PRETTY CLOTHES TOO!
I CAN'T WAIT TO WEAR MY NEWEST COAT
ONCE IT GETS A LITTLE COLDER.
ASIDE FROM NOT BEING ABLE TO WEAR IT YEAR-ROUND IN NEW YORK,
"THE PIPE" IS PERFECTION.
YOU MAY NOT SEE IT WELL FROM THIS PHOTO,
BUT THE TRIM (AROUND THE BODY AND AT THE POCKETS) IS MADE OF BEADS.
BEAUTIFUL, LITTLE, SILVER BEADS THAT ARE SO SLICK, THEY REPEL THE RAIN.
NO, NOT REALLY, BUT THE COAT ACTUALLY DOES...

NOW PLAYING: CARLA BRUNI - YOU BELONG TO ME
