perhaps it's a sign when mid-march is fast-approaching, and i only have less than 5 posts...
i'll take it as a sign.
i need a vacation.
on monday night, i had dinner with friend. we ran into other friends, we joined tables. they were all planning on leaving for vietnam this saturday, for a wedding. somewhere during dinner, i was invited. how does one refuse such an invitation? tuesday i bought my plane ticket, wednesday renewed my passport, today i got my visa. leaving saturday, 10 days. if you don't know this about me, i'm vietnamese. i was born in new york, and have never been to vietnam. this is very exciting. if i can find any time and internet connection, i'll post some updates. if not, i'll be back soon.

That's really cool. I'm vietnamese as well and I'm like the only one of my friends who hasn't been back to Vietnam yet. I'm still planning to go in the future. hahah Sorry you have no idea who I am but I'm a fellow blogger who loves your line for Duskin. I live in Seattle though so I'm waiting for everything to launch online and buy it.

dude. wtf! amazing. you're gonna have the best time. go to chinatown and go to this one corner and have the goat stew. go to the fish market super early one morning. go to the mekong delta one day. call me before you leave! x
WOW. You have to go to Hoi An. I love how spontaneous this trip came about. They're the best sort of trips, you don't work yourself up about anything (or too much). You can appreciate things as they come.
What I love about Vietnam is that as soon as you leave your plane you KNOW you're in a different country. The ride outside of the airport is quite mindblowing - this is a loud, living and breathing country. I hope it inspires you in many ways. I, too, am Vietnamese/Australian.
