alexandra hope | invisible sunday

last month i wrote about my very talented and busy friend alia raza, who had just directed a music video for the band known as violens. i still think that is one of the best names ever.
well, perhaps because we've known each other for 25 years, she has kindly worked some of my duskin pieces into her newest music video project for the song "invisible sunday," by alexandra hope, an artist on the label manimal vinyl. these are stills pulled from the shoot, and they are

just.

so.

amazing.

the video and album of the same name will debut in february, so please check back, as i'll be posting it here.

sex tourist

presenting the french kicks, my second favorite dc prep-school boy-band.
sex tourist is terribly sexy.
and i love that people make dedication videos and post them on YouTube, especially when the whole video is just a photograph accompanying a song.

don't save us from the flames

NOT ENTIRELY SURE WHY, BUT WHEN I LOOK AT THIS PRINT FROM CHRISTOPHER DAVID RYAN, I HEAR THE M83 SONG, "DON'T SAVE US FROM THE FLAMES."
BOTH ARE REALLY DREAMY,
AND BOTH THE PRINT AND THE VIDEO ARE BELOW.
I FOUND CD RYAN THROUGH MY FRIEND DEENA, WHO HAS A DESIGN STUDIO CALLED SOUTH KENT WYTHE, IN BROOKLYN (I'LL LINK TO HER SITE ONCE IT'S GONE LIVE OFFICIALLY).

diamond blues

DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THIS BRILLIANCE?
I REMEMBER PLAYING IT OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER.
UNFORTUNATELY, THE YOUTUBE VIDEO ISN'T VERY CLEAR, BUT I WASN'T ABLE TO EMBED THE ORIGINAL,
FROM SHOWSTUDIO.COM.
