found found found
one of my favorite things to look at: this cover of zoetrope: all-story, francis ford coppoloa's zine full of short-fiction and one-act plays. it was guest-designed by julian schnabel and is one of the most wonderful things i own and treasure. amazingly, it's made it through many a move, but it's completley sold out, so unfortunately, my tattered copy will have to last a lifetime...

cross-pollination
a few weeks ago, the clothing store unis had a party, and rebecca schiffman, duskin's fall lookbook model, performed a small set.
i may need to make her sign an exclusive contract with me- between her music, art, blogs/zines, jewelry, and looks, she's hot property...! click all of the links- they lead you to different projects of hers...

gotta get away
i'm backtracking...here are more images of the house we rented, in athens, new york, back at the end of april. it was a dream. everything was exactly as i would have had it, if it were my own home. our days consisted of morning coffee outside, dog walks, swimming holes, home-cooked dinners, lots of wine, antiquing, running the rip van winkle bridge, movies, baths- otherwise known as relaxation...
gotta get away....more often...

currently enjoying these images by david benjamin sherry.

look, and listen to miracles, by jefferson starship. it will make complete sense.
complex geometry
i love these hand-painted flag necklaces that cheri messerli of scout-holiday makes.
they come in a few different varieties, and you can find them on etsy or the selby shop at collette.
equally as gorgeous on your neck as it would be hanging on your wall...

scarred for life
kelli scarr, is not only a talented musician, she is also a wonderful mother, and a great, new friend.
i was really tired the first time i saw her (and met her), but 10 seconds into her first song i knew that i was going to be blown away. she's touring this summer, so if you find her playing in your area, please don't miss it. she is just incredibly moving to watch and hear.
along with her solo project, she's also part of the bands salt & samovar, and color of clouds.
for more info, you can find her on myspace, facebook, or her blog.
the following song, "anything," is a rough cut off her new album, which she is currently recording. enjoy.

*if the player isn't working properly, please listen to the song HERE. it's too good not to.
